Stays & Marketplace
MOA Safety Policy
Last updated 31 October 2026. Please read this before booking a stay or buying from a shop on Ministry of Adventures.
1. What MOA is โ and is not
Ministry of Adventures (MOA) lists stays and shops run by independent owners. MOA is not a party to your booking or purchase, does not provide the stay or the goods, and never collects, holds or refunds your money. Any payment you make goes directly from you to the property or seller.
2. Verified and not verified
A Verified badge means MOA has checked the owner's identity documents and their Google Business listing (reviews and years in business). Not verified listings are approved to appear on MOA but have not completed that check. Verification lowers risk; it is not a guarantee of service quality.
3. Paying safely
- Pay only after the property confirms your booking, or the seller agrees your order. MOA shows the UPI ID and QR code only at that point.
- Pay only the UPI ID / QR shown for your booking inside the MOA app or website. Never pay a different number or link sent by message or call.
- Prefer paying a small advance and the balance on arrival or delivery, especially for listings that are not verified.
- MOA will never ask you for payment, card details, OTPs or UPI PINs. Never share an OTP or UPI PIN with anyone.
- After paying, add the UPI reference (UTR) or a screenshot to your booking, so both sides have a record.
4. Your contact details
Your phone number is shared with a property or seller only if you tick "share my number" on that booking or enquiry. MOA does not sell your details.
5. Rules for properties and sellers
- List genuine places and products with honest photos, prices and policies. Honour the price a guest booked at โ booked prices cannot be changed.
- Show your cancellation policy before a guest pays, and follow it.
- Do not ask guests for payment before confirming, or outside the UPI details on your MOA listing.
- Do not list prohibited items: weapons, drugs or controlled substances, counterfeit or stolen goods, wildlife products, or anything illegal in India.
- Check guest ID at check-in yourself. Do not ask MOA to collect guests' identity documents.
- Reply to guests and buyers within a reasonable time.
6. Reporting and enforcement
Use Report on any property or shop page. MOA reviews every report and may hide, suspend or remove a listing, or remove the Verified badge. For an emergency or a crime, contact local police first (dial 112 in India), then report it to MOA.
7. Disputes
Disagreements about a stay, an order, a refund or a cancellation are between you and the property or seller. MOA can help by reviewing reports and acting on listings, but cannot reverse payments. Keep your booking reference and payment record.
